DIY Farmhouse Tray & Villa Borghese, Rome

Zack and I went to the Borghese Museum to see these fabulous Bernini statues🎥. Here's a video of my favourite piece from the museum and it's probably one of the best marble statues ever made. It's from Greek Mythology, when Apollo falls in love with the wood nymph, Dauphne. At the very moment he catches her, she cries out for help and is swiftly transformed into a tree. You can see the leaves sprouting from her fingers tips and vines tethering her feet to soil.

Textured Wood Creates Authentic Weathered Look

I celebrated a BIG birthday this last week! 4-0 if you can believe it, I hardly can. We spent the holiday on the southern coast of Italy. It was truly magical and I'm feeling all kinds of blessed being able to spend this year in Italy! I will for sure share more next week, but for now wishing you and your family the love, light, & happiness in 2019!

White Oak Ebonized Mantle & Agrigento, Italy

Sooo, let me know if vacation pictures are boring, because I just want to share, share, share everything we've been up to! We spent most of our first two weeks getting set up, since we're here to live not for a vacation. Buuut we did get to sight-see at the coolest spot, the Valle of the Templi,  in Agrigento IT

DIY [Faux] Barnwood Frame

This post has been sitting in draft form in my archives for 4 years, I think it's ready for its debut considering I no longer own any of the items in these photos, or even the cat in the impromptu shot far below. It seems like life changes so quickly these days and we have just announced we're going to Italy for a year! We've travelled the US for the last three years and I can't imagine slowing down. So it's full steam ahead to Europe for us. We plan to spend 12 months travel the whole of Italy. I really need your help and advice, because I am terrible at planning trips!

Nautical Wooden Napkin Rings

Nautical Wooden Napkin Rings with Weatherwood

You guys! Zack and I are back in Forks, WA this weekend and it's been 5 years since we were last year. Forks is incredibly beautiful and is located in the Olympic peninsula, in WA. There's a real rainforest nearby and several of the dreamiest, most mystical beaches you've ever seen. It's eye candy for days and my eyes are soaking it all in.

Maple Flooring Picture Frames

We are gearing up for some family to come into town this weekend! I am so excited. We plan to snorkel in Kay Largo and kayak in Key West! The Keys have the most unusual beaches and marine life I've ever seen, and I've been to nearly every large beach destination in the US! I even pent 6 years living in Hawaii. I believe it's all of  the plant life, which creates food and homes for iguanas and hermit crabs, sting rays, horse shoe crabs- you name it, we've seen it! Follow along my Instagram, if you'd like to see some of our adventures.

DIY Weathered Wood Frame

Hey lovely friends! We are Boston for the second week and I finally got to work on a project for ME! What a luxury. I'll put that post together for you soon. In the meantime, we are running around trying to take in the sights while we work this area. This week's post is from blogger Emily, at Table and Hearth. She worked up this lovely watercolor and DIY frame. For the watercolor post DIY, pop over to Emily's blog. You can see it turned out lovely.

DIY Anthro Garden Plant Markers

This week I have a 30 minute craft that you can do and then enjoy all summer. I had Anthropologie's Garden Plant Markers pinned for like a year and totally missed my chance to buy them, so I figured I would make this one. I always have clay on hand, because I love the slightly imperfect look of handcrafted...crafts. So this one for me, was free and super cute when it was all done.

Upcycled Cabinet Menu w/DIY Chalkboard Paint

Know how we all like to be prepared? I don't just mean organized. I mean wouldn't we all like a list that tells you everything you need to know for the week in seconds? Well, what better way to keep yourself organized than a decorative chalkboard. And what better chalkboard, than a rustic one? I mean after all, everyone and their mom has a chalkboard these days so you might as well use my kickin stain to make it the bee's knees!

DIY Weathered MacBook Wood Case

How was your Thanksgiving? We spent a wonderful week in Fresno with Zack's family and it was so much fun! We are headed back to Utah for two weeks and I'm excited to see our friends. Obviously, the business has us hopping all the time. But it also gives me beautiful projects like this one, to share. Mimi Kong worked up this beautiful little DIY project and I loooove it!

DIY Clay Herb Markers

Hello me dear friends! I have missed sharing original work with you- there's been so little time for me to CREAT between working Weatherwood and moving. But we arrived in Texas about 2 weeks ago. Apparently Austin is having a housing shortage and we've had a terrible time finding a short term rental that allows pups. So we fortunately have a permanent back up plan having the RV so it's been ok. We will be working a our first two trade shows in Cali this week, so I'm just about ready to pack up for our trip. In the meantime, I had just enough time for a 10 minute project and I wanted to share it with you!

Clay Succulent Planters

Hello dear friends! We've spent this month in LA and man oh man is SoCal amazing in January- especially compared to Utah! lol I know many of us are friends on social so we already keep in touch, but we have been working on my Weatherwood business like crazy! I want to tell you my great business update buy I'm sworn to secrecy for a few more months. I can hint though! There's a super, duper famous, A list actor and he's doing his new Malibu house with Weatherwood! *Gasp *Scream Obviously Zack and I grabbed hands and jumped up and down like teenagers. This is even funnier if you'd net Zack in real life- being over 6 foot and a former Marine!

Book Page Wreath Tutorial

Today we have a blast from the past! I started blogging in 2011 and, well, I pretty much sucked. I mean, I was still figuring things out (to say the least!) I made this pretty little book page wreath, but the images were such a poor quality! I thought I'd share it today along with it's current location, on the frame-turned-chalkboard I made last fall.

Father's Day Sharpie Mugs

Father's Day Gift

Hello, friends! I hope you've had a wonderful weekend! Zack and I are still cranking it on the Northwest, on a big introductory trip for Weatherwood. While I'm away, I wanted to share this cute little craft! You can personalize and customize mugs with Sharpies, making them a great choice for a sentimental Father's Day gift.

State L♥ve Pillow
[Happy Valentine's Day]

#pillow #statelove #massachusetts

Yes, it's nearly Valentine's Day! Almost time to tell that special someone how much you love them. Maybe you'll receive chocolates, flowers, or something special.
Do you remember what it was like in high school on V-day? Watching the most popular girl get a carnation in one class, then the next, and the next? For better or for worse, every girl waited, pretending not to care, but ready to leap out of her chair and fight each other to the death for those stupid cheap flowers. The more the other girls got, the more nerve wracking the day would get.

DIY Gilded Envelopes

It's the time of year when we write real letter on real paper-for real people. Letter of love, thanks, and gratitude for those we cherish. I had a few packs of cards, but they didn't feel very...special. Nothing makes something feel more special than does gold. Here's an easy way to add a little glam to your stationary!
