DIY Restoration Hardware Manchinto Gray Oak Finish

Oh friends, I have just had the time of my life in NY this past month. We just barely left and rolled into Boston this weekend. I know I've mentioned it before, but it's where I'm from and I haven't bee back since I got married nearly 15 years ago. Now Zack and I will be here for a month and I can finally show him all the amazing sites. If you like American History, or sports,... or food, it's one  best cities to visit.

Our RV "BEFORE" Pics

Last fall Zack and I purchased this mammoth beast of a RV for all the business traveling we do. In 2015 we were traveling 9 months out of 12. In 2016, it's been 7 out of 9! Finding a RV in good shape, with a lot of life left in it was a story in and of itself, but suffice to say, after many RVs fell through we settled on this beaut. It's Holiday Rambler, is called a Diesel Pusher and mechanically it's top of the line with a Cummings engine. Basically, the engine just breaks in at 150,000 miles, it's that good. Ours is now only at 60K now, so we're not even close to breaking it in yet.

Nautical Pedestal Table Strip & Stain

It's NEW YORK! Yes, my dear friends, this week the hubby and I are playing, I mean "working" in New York. Having grown up in Boston, you would think I would've spent considerable time in a huge metropolis only 4 hours away. Especially since I love history and theatre. But no, my fam pretty much stuck to Boston sites and when I turned 18, I booked it across the US and across the Pacific Ocean to go to college in Hawaii. This is the first real time I've spent in the city and we are
having a BLAST!

Faux-Barnwood DIY Box Beams

We have spent our first weekend in NYC and it was tons of fun! Yesterday we saw the Statue of Liberty and Ellis Island Museum. Then we saw the Museum of Modern Art, Times Square, 5th Ave, and Central Park. We have Hamilton tickets this week, so I am totally freaking out excited about it!

With wood walls and ceilings being so popular, wood beams go along with it. When you see gorgeous wood beams in homes, a lot of times it's a faux box beam rather than a real beam to save major money.
