Archbasilica of St. John Lateran in Rome

We visited this church twice- once at Easter and it was totally packed!! Getting to see Rome at Easter was an experience I will never forget! Easter is Rome's biggest holiday with "pilgrims" coming from all over the world. We weren’t able to take a lot of photos but did get some cool footage of mass (see end of post). So, of course, we had to go back another time and really explore it!

Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore, Florence

This church is the STAR of Florence. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I swear I take photos of it every time we walk by- it’s so beautiful! And it’s story it pretty amazing. 🤓 Construction was started in the 1300’s but the dome was left unfinished for nearly 100 years because the technology to build it didn’t exist yet.

I have been so excited to visit San Marco and we finally got the chance.💝This monastery was financially sponsored by the Medici (due to their guilt over usery- i.e. moneylending.)💰 Once the monastery was sponsored, they selected one of their friars to fresco the building.
