DIY Driftwood Gray Maple Hardwoods

Maple floors are less common now, because maple doesn't take traditional wood stains very well. But they were very common back in the day. You will find old maple floors, with these skinny 2" boards all over in old homes, especially in the east and mid-west. Staining maple is not a problem with our products, as you can see. Just apply stains and let them air dry! So this is a great project for your old maple flooring, to update it and bring it into the 21st century! Not to mention, this is the easiest way to stain your own flooring.

DIY Restoration Hardware Gray Oak Finish

Today's project is sort of exciting, because before reactive stains we didn't have a way to create the Restoration Hardware finishes we love. Now in just a couple of steps, with minimal work, you can have the RH look in your home, and you don't have to spend $3K for one piece of furniture! So let's get to it, we are going to DIY the Restoration Hardware's Gray Oak Finish on oak, just like they do.

The Handmade Hangout #155

So glad you are here for this week's linky party:

Handmade Hangout Linky Party

Driftwood Gray Coffee Table Rehab

Hey, lovely friends. Can I vent for a second? I just want to say, I miss hearing from ya'll. We've been together for years and years, and I know life gets busy, it has gotten to be for me. But I just miss hearing from you guys. Sure, I say the wrong name of something or have a typo, I hear from my reader-friends. But I miss knowing how you are, what's happening in your lives and and what you are working on! The death of comments creates a one way relationship, and I for one, am sad about it. I hope things move back in the opposite directions. Rant over.
