The Palazzo Medici Riccardi in Florence

We’ve got palace pics! We toured one of the Medici Palaces & it was amazing! Can you picture living around such opulence? The thought is foreign to most of us Americans. But Italians grow up right next to the finest art in the world.

Archbasilica of St. John Lateran in Rome

We visited this church twice- once at Easter and it was totally packed!! Getting to see Rome at Easter was an experience I will never forget! Easter is Rome's biggest holiday with "pilgrims" coming from all over the world. We weren’t able to take a lot of photos but did get some cool footage of mass (see end of post). So, of course, we had to go back another time and really explore it!

Duomo Santa Maria del Fiore, Florence

This church is the STAR of Florence. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I swear I take photos of it every time we walk by- it’s so beautiful! And it’s story it pretty amazing. πŸ€“ Construction was started in the 1300’s but the dome was left unfinished for nearly 100 years because the technology to build it didn’t exist yet.
