Yes, it's nearly Valentine's Day! Almost time to tell that special someone how much you love them. Maybe you'll receive chocolates, flowers, or something special.
Do you remember what it was like in high school on V-day? Watching the most popular girl get a carnation in one class, then the next, and the next? For better or for worse, every girl waited, pretending not to care, but ready to leap out of her chair and fight each other to the death for those stupid cheap flowers. The more the other girls got, the more nerve wracking the day would get.

Hola, my earth friendly DIY'ers! After inventing an all natural wood stain, I started thinking about other products I could improve upon, things that would be kinder to Mother Earth. Here in Utah, we suffer with hard water issues because our H20 is way mineral rich. When I lived in Boston, laundry detergent was a constant source of grey water.

Chalk Paint Burlap Ottoman Makeover

You know when you've just had it with a piece of furniture? So even though it's in the middle of Christmas holidays, you rip the little piece apart because you just cannot stand it? That's how I felt about my ottoman in my entry way. I love our little gallery wall and all the personalized art-- but the mdf ottoman and mdf entry table were two distinct tones of brown and I thought it was going to drive me crazy!
