✥ Reader Feature: Bedroom Board Batten Makeover ✥

I hope you all had a lovely holiday weekend!
Our Monday feature comes from Lisa @ A Vintage Vine. Lisa has a great DIY type blog where she shares her home improvement and decorating projects. She has a beautiful home, including a creative mix of refurbished furniture with custom finishes and {my favorite} vintage pieces mixed in! Like her kitchen, for example, stainless appliances and dual toned cabinets, decorated with items like her vintage stool and paper towel dispenser! Love!

Good Morning friends and fans of from GARDNERS 2 BERGERS. I am Lisa from {A Vintage Vine} and I so happy to be with you today......Thanks Becca for inviting me over to give your readers a tour of the Master Bedroom  project that I completed a few weeks ago. I am sure you enjoy Becca's blog, as much as I do.....I have a list of her projects I am just itching to try! Especially, her WEST ELM stump table....That one, I have to copy! Hope everyone had a fun filled Thanksgiving, followed by a relaxing weekend! During the week of Thanksgiving most of my projects came to a screeching halt....Notice, I say "most".............How about you, did you sneak in a project or two over the week of Thanksgiving? I have to admit it, I did!! I continued "tweaking" my master bedroom makeover.....Here is an "AFTER" picture of what we did a few weeks ago.
We started out this project by stenciling the upper 1/2 of the wall and then adding MDF for a board and batten wall. Here are a few of my stencil tips......1. Use a clip on level to help get the stencil straight.....2. Secure the stencil to the wall with tape....3. Use a roller brush to apply the paint over the stencil.
I mention earlier, that over Thanksgiving I was "tweaking" this recent project.......Let's face it...I am never satisfied! See the new addition to the MDF wall in my bedroom?....We added a horizontal MDF board midway up...I love that but it made me HATE strongly dislike my headboard, so I took it down. What do you think?
Should I go with a headboard or NO headboard?....FYI, my headboard is a $5, thrift store find, spray painted black....I have had it 5 years and for it to get lost would not make me too sad!!
So the question is, HEADBOARD or NO HEADBOARD? Let me know what you think! Thanks again to Becca  for inviting me over to her wonderful blog, I thank you for stopping by and have a great day!!

I was just telling Lisa that I LOVE how she mixes textiles, she has a real talent for color and pattern- as you can tell from her bedroom pics.
She's also a pro at furniture makeovers, like her beautiful dining room table, TV credenza, wood plank bench, and dining room hutch {and more!!}.  There is so much inspiration on her blog!
Check it out, you won't be disappointed!
