Refinishing a Piano with Stain

I am getting over another bug, I mean bug, gosh. We have only been in Winter for 6 weeks and I've already caught 3 different viruses. But I wanted to make sure you were inspired during my misery (lol) so I am sharing one of my top 10 favorite Weatherwood projects with you. It's from my bloggy friend, Jen at The Created Home
Jen wrote in and asked if she could use our Reclamation stain on her heirloom Wurlitzer. (Did you know bloggers can ask for Weatherwood stain too? link here and always in my sidebar.)

For this tutorial, Jen did strip the piano down to raw wood. See the original above. That is the only way to stain using these beautiful reactive stains. It's a maple piano and she used Weatherwood Reclamation stain on it. She'll tell you more below:

And for the incredible time-lapse of the piece changing colors.

For  the full written tutorial & lots more photos, you will have to visit my girl @ The Created home blog -link! I hope to be back to myself soon. Enjoy the part tomorrow.
