Rustic Barn Shiplap -How to

Have you ever had a dream? I had a dream. I wanted to work with Home Depot. I wanted to be the Martha Stewart of the HD world. When I first started, I imagined an employee wearing an orange apron taking a needy customer by the hand and escorting them down isle 18. Over the paint and through wood, to my stain. I've talked a little about how this journey started. For the sake of your sanity, I'm going to speed it up a little. After I invented the stain, I got projects with some of the largest architecture companies in the world. I instantly began asking myself if my clients wanted the stain or stained wood.

Dark Barnwood-Looking Box Beams

Welcome one, welcome all. Today I will discuss something we should all be concerned with. Liberty! How many of us truly believe we are free? Are you in debt? Then guess what... You're not free. Think about it. If you pay a mortgage and you fail to make one single payment, you risk losing your entire house, despite the fact that you've been faithful on every payment up to maybe even the last one. What about credit cards? Do you know that monthly payment you make really doesn't even touch the principal? You're just paying rent for the privilege of borrowing the initial loan. Student loans are no different. Here's what I'm getting at, so long as you are in debt, you are not truly free. I realized this about five years ago.

Country Dresser Upcycle

I

Hello dear friends. Zack and I have just arrived in the Florida Keys and it's windy and cold, well it's 68 degrees! I hope you're staying cozy and warm during this insane cold front. It hasn't been nice to our stain deliveries, that's for sure. I think you'll like the country dresser makeover. It's just precious.
To achieve this look you'll start with a piece of cherry furniture.

Getting Barnwood Look with Gravity Sprayer

Ok, so as you all know, I invented, "Weatherwood." It's an earth friendly product that does 2 things really, really well.

1) I reduce labor time dramatically. To get a similar look, you can use petroleum products, but you have to wait for the primer to cure. The coats of paint, and then you have to use glazes. The total labor time is typically around 80 hours and although you might get close to the look, you will never get all the grain to show through.
2) Because ours is a one step process, you only have to buy one product. You don't need to buy paints, glazes, primers, or dyes. It's one and done. So I dramatically reduce material costs.
