I had a the chance to work with Jenny from Refresh Living on a run monthly challenge. I immediately knew she was a kindred spirit when I saw her fun blog and her stick-to-it-ness. I'm sure you'll like her creative DIY Good Morning sign.
She began with a piece of hickory. She stained it using Weatherwood's Reclamation color. You simply use a sponge brush to apply the stain to sanded wood. Leave the stain on and allow the wood to react to the stain. The wood will age before your eyes.
She knew she wanted a bright and happy message. So Jenny drew the sun freehand. She painted it in with Miss Mustard Seed Milk Paint in Mustard Yellow mixed with Linen. That's when the DIY fate took over and her project took a left turn. She tried to use a transfer method, but it went horribly wrong.
